Two gay teenagers have been publicly executed in Iran for the ‘crime' of homosexuality. One youth was aged 18 and the other was a minor under the age of 18.
Three other young gay Iranians are being hunted by the police, but they have gone into hiding and cannot be found. If caught, they will also face execution.
"This is just the latest barbarity by the Islamo-fascists in Iran. The entire country is a gigantic prison, with Islamic rule sustained by detention without trial, torture and state-sanctioned murder,” said Peter Tatchell from gay human rights group OutRage!
"According to Iranian human rights campaigners, over 4,000 lesbians and gay men have been executed since the Ayatollahs seized power in 1979.

I understand how you can be angry aobut this, but when you say something like "Unite Against " a certain country, you are not just indicting the unfair government and its practices, but also the people, culture, and history. That includes the victimised people you are incensed about saving. The majority of Iranian people are just normal people who want to live their lives free from the kind of tyranny depicted here, but you do them no service in trying to rally the war cry against them. I hope in the future you will exercise more consideration about whom you direct your anger toward.
Thank you for your comments Joomba. I guess that there is a little misunderstanding. When I said "unite against Iran", I did not mean to "let's start a war"... (That would be such a ridiculous statement for a human rights campaigner like me...)
You unfortunately, totally misunderstood it. The message I wanted to give is that we should all unite against Iran, in order to stop its human rights violations.
I've changed it anyway in order to prevent any further misunderstandings. Thank you again for your comment, dude.
This is disgusting, and there is clearly something wrong with Irani government. Something must be done, and yes, you are right, it's unlikely that this will stop. I signed the petition on rainbow.com, and I went to the AI website you linked but could find nothing on the matter (although I did end up emailing the president about Guantanamo Bay and the governor of Nigeria about the systematic abuse of women). I'd like to know of any updates on this, and if there's anything I can do I'd love to help (though I can't contribute much financially )
However, yes, you shouldn't say you're against "Iran". That includes many innocents and civilians, including, ironically, those very same boys who the Irani government executed in the first place.
I'll probably get flamed, but ah well.

I saw this pîcs the last 2 days more than 20 times and every time my heart is with this 2 guys! it makes me so sick!!!!!!
I hope the world is gonna open his eyes for this stupid regime and is gonna do something!!!!
I hope devaintart isn't gonna remove your message here( they did once with something I put on my profile for political reasons!!!)
But it feels good so many people are shocked about this, let's hope these crimes are gonna stop now!!!
These photos have been burned in my retina over the past few days. I only live directly south of Iran, despite the fact that I live in a bit more liberal country, I can't erase the scenario that I may be next from my head... I was already once almost arrested for making out with a guy I went out with. Homosexuality here, too, is illegal. I still get uncomfortable when a police officer is around, or even an undercover officer... It gets me headaches with all the thinking that runs in my head.
jesus christ there is a reason why i do not watch news... i didnt know about this and i kind of wish i never did. dont get me wrong human rights needed EVERYWHERE.
That is just sick, conservativ shit. Ok, I support Bush if he attacks Iran, as long it is a bit more proffesional than the Iraq war. Oh, and yes, I've read that Iran may be attacked by USA. Anyways, nice picture, with a good message.
Thanks for putting this up. I saw the bottom pic in some magazine. I was unable to stop staring at it. I was afraid that if i looked away i would forget the picture. I have shed tears for this for all the good it will do. Death of innocence is always knee bendingly painful

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
